Temperature and humidity are two key factors to consider when storing PE bags

By admin / Date Apr 18,2024

In terms of temperature control:

Firstly, it is important to ensure that PE bags are stored within an appropriate temperature range. Typically, it is recommended to store PE bags at room temperature, avoiding exposure to excessively high or low temperatures. High temperatures may cause PE bags to deform, melt, or accelerate their aging process, while low temperatures may make PE bags brittle and prone to rupture. Therefore, the temperature of the storage area should be kept stable, avoiding significant fluctuations.

Secondly, the suitable storage temperature may vary for different types of PE bags. For example, some specialized PE bags may need to be stored at lower temperatures to maintain their specific performance. Therefore, before storing PE bags, it is advisable to consult relevant instructions or suppliers to understand the specific storage temperature requirements of the particular product.

In terms of humidity control:

Firstly, excessive humidity may cause PE bags to absorb moisture, affecting their physical properties and appearance. Moistened PE bags may become soft, sticky, and may develop issues such as mold growth or discoloration. Therefore, the humidity of the storage area should be controlled within an appropriate range, with relative humidity typically recommended to be maintained between 40% and 60%.

Secondly, excessively low humidity may also adversely affect PE bags. Dry environments may cause PE bags to lose moisture, becoming brittle and prone to rupture. Therefore, when storing PE bags, it is important to avoid placing them in excessively dry environments, such as direct exposure to sunlight or using excessively intense heating equipment.

To achieve effective control of temperature and humidity, the following measures can be taken:

Use of constant temperature and humidity equipment: Install constant temperature and humidity equipment in the storage area to maintain stability by adjusting temperature and humidity.

Regular inspection and adjustment: Regularly check the temperature and humidity of the storage area to ensure they are within the appropriate range. If any abnormal conditions are detected, adjust the equipment parameters or take other measures promptly to correct them.

Sealed packaging: For PE bags intended for long-term storage, consider using sealed packaging materials to reduce the impact of external environments on their quality.
